ClimateSmartAdvisors workload is divided into 10 Work Packages, with mission to achieve all project goals during 7 years of project duration
Connecting advisors and ASP across EU MS and associated countries to the CFD pilot demonstration farm network, to grow the network and support peer learning between advisors, both on impactful advisory methods and Climate Smart Farming practices.
Delivering a Climate Smart Farming Train-the-Trainer (TTT) type training module, and support the delivery of Climate Smart Farming training seminars across partner countries, resulting in an enhancement of the capacity of both current and future farm advisors to empower EU farmers in climate action.
Understanding and supporting the role of advisors in Climate Smart Farming MIPs and Climate-Smart Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation Systems across Europe, to identify and address gaps in Climate Smart Farming advisory activities in MIPs, and to deliver tools and materials for a wide range of ClimateSmartAdvisors types to better participate in Climate Smart Farming innovation activities.
Monitoring and evaluating the capacity building and learning within the ClimateSmartAdvisors network and improving its functioning and impact in strengthening advisors to accelerate the adoption of Climate Smart Farming practices.
Building a supportive toolkit for Climate Smart Coaches & ClimateSmartAdvisors and for the wider advisory community. This should consist of good farm practices, assessment tools, advisory, training, and teaching methods, adapted to Climate Smart Farming and carbon topics and to the diversity of EU situations, embedded in an interactive repository.
Engaging and empowering key actors within regional/national Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation Systems and across MS in supporting CS-AS and creating an enabling environment for its implementation.
Building a network of PIPs, at EU and national levels, to create project visibility and cooperation, integrate research and knowledge from other projects, produce common policy and operational recommendations, and prepare a sustainability strategy for the whole ClimateSmartAdvisors network.
Developing a strong C&D strategy to ensure that knowledge and project results are communicated and disseminated to the EU agricultural advisory community and all other relevant actors and stakeholders across the EU & AC.
Ensuring that the project meets its objectives, delivers on expected results, and feeds the expected impacts in a timely manner.
Ensuring compliance with the ‘ethics requirements’ set out in this work package.
