Description

The CoP’s annual plan focuses on raising awareness among farmers and stakeholders about the need for services of CSA and connecting with agricultural experts to build a strong advisory network. Key activities include enhancing the skills of advisors through ongoing education, collecting information on soil health management practices, identifying credible sources for best practices, creating tools for information exchange and exploring policy frameworks to incentivize sustainable soil management.

Objectives

1. Increase awareness among farmers and stakeholders about the importance of CSA
2. Connect with agricultural experts, institutions, and stakeholders to form advisory network
3. Enable agricultural advisors to enhance their expertise and capabilities in providing climate-smart advisory services through ongoing education and skills development
4. Exploring soil health management practices on farms by collecting information about priorities in already adopted strategies
5. Identify credible sources of information for sharing best practices within the CSA community
6. Create the tools to facilitate the exchange of information between soil scientists, advisors, and farmers.
7. Explore existing policy frameworks and rewarding mechanisms to incentivize farmers for sustainable soil management practices.
