ClimateSmartAdvisors (CSA) is a pan-European network empowering farm advisors with the knowledge and tools needed to support farmers in adapting to climate change across 27 countries.

The ClimateSmartAdvisors project unites 1500 Advisors, 140 Coaches, 27 National Coordinators, and 12 Thematic Leaders in a shared effort to advance climate-smart agriculture in Europe.
By building a strong network of skilled stakeholders, the project helps improve knowledge exchange, support advisory services, and accelerate the transition to more sustainable farming practices.
260 Communities of Practice across 27 EU countries are helping bring climate-smart farming solutions into practice within the European agricultural advisory community. Discover more about each Community of Practice as soon as the network begins rolling out activities across Europe.

A common knowledge platform rich in climate-smart tools, practices, and approaches from different EU Horizon project is the place to go for every advisor who takes part in shifting EU agricultural production towards more adaptable, sustainable and environmentally friendly farming.
The platform is under continuous development, with new features being gradually added in the coming years.
Practice oriented innovation experiments where Advisors play a central role as change and innovation agents in Climate Smart Farming multi-level transitions. Co-Design Innovation Experiments will fill in innovation gaps that have been identified in Climate Smart Advisors activities across the EU
I have a master degree in agronomy with a thesis on seasonal dynamics of brown marmorated stink bug. Currently I’m working for Agriculture and forestry institution in Ptuj primarly with farmers as an advisor, providing guidance mainly on agricultural policy measures and crop management.
I am also involved in two European Innovation Partnership projects, one is about irrigation and the other about preserving dry grasslands.
More than 25 years of experience in sustainability assessment in agriculture with a focus on greenhouse gas emissions and carbon credits in livestock systems. Definition, application and implementation of new assessment systems and parameters for livestock farms. Many years of experience in EU projects (Interreg Grand-Region, Interreg NWE, Life+, Horizon Europe). Scientific publications and participation in agricultural congresses as well as organisation of seminars for consultants and farmers.
Head of Innovation Support Service at LAAS, coordinator of innovation projects, member of the EU CAP Network Subgroup on Innovation and Knowledge Exchange (SoIKE). I am responsible for coordinating national and international innovation projects, developing of LAAS collaboration with advisory, research and innovation institutions, representing LAAS at national and international events. I am a national coordinator in the ClimateFarmDemo project.
Head of Service for Advisory Support in the Use of Rural Development Measures at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. Has a master’s degree in Agribusiness and Rural Development.
In her professional work, she focuses on providing expert advice in the field of financial management of agricultural holdings, investment planning and risk management, as well as on the availability of quality sources of financing.
She also provides advisory support on rural development measures from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and national measures for rural development support programs.
Currently works as a Sustainability Consultant in CONSULAI, involved inthe management of 4 Horizon Europe projects (among other tasks): ClimateFarmDemo, ClimateSmartAdvisors, ClieNFarms and ClimateSmartResearch, focusing on climate smart farming, risk and resiliency management, carbon farming, climate change, farmers and advisors capacity building, knowledge exchange networks, among other topics.
Holds a Post graduate programme on Sustainable Development and a Master degree on Agricultural Engineering, with a thesis on innovation uptake by farmers – having a particular focus on on-farm water efficiency and on the potential of knowledge exchange methodologies as tools of empowering farmers and other professionals in the agricultural sector.
I work on research projects for arable crops and forage. I manage projects but I also drive experiments on the field and analyse data coming from the project. One project I work on at the moment is on the adaptation of crops to climate change.
Master Degree in enviromental system sciences. Experienced project manager in international projects for bio-ressources. In the current position in the Department Energy, Climate and Bio-ressources at the Chamber of Agriculture and Forestry in Styria I am responsible for National and International projects but also as an energy consultant for farmers in Styria.
I obtained my first university diploma in animal nutritioning (more specifically, sport horses). I always considered my primary task to be helping farmers with knowledge transfer, within which agricultural advisory work, and the umbrella of my university provided an excellent opportunity. Among our biggest partners are beef cattle breeders, and the association of Hungarian buffalos, where forage production is highly relevant. In FAO projects I helped build AKIS systems and ICT platforms in several countries.
I am working at the French Livestock Institute, as an expert on dairy cow nutrition and feeding systems. I am in charge of regional, national and european projects delaing with milk production, feed-food competition, land use and carbonfootprint. On this last issue, providing efficient strategies to farmers for reducing methane emissions is a critical on-going work for the dairy industry. I am particularly involved in this research.
Phd in sustainability; Senior Lecturer in Environment and Systems, Kevin researches and teaches on a wide range of environmental topics and governance agendas, especially water resources, including drought. His action research is using systems thinking and practice and social learning processes to address complex socio-ecological situations. He has wide experience in EU and international research projects on environment and farming systems.
A senior expert associate, Dajana excels in developing and coordinating dissemination, communication, and marketing strategies. With a robust background, she enhances brand/project visibility. She is a project manager on various European projects, and possesses expertise in generating effective organizational exposure. A social media expert with 9 years of experience, she adeptly develops and manages social media strategies for impactful outcomes.
Andreia Carvalho is a Sustainability Consultant at CONSULAI with an international background in research, innovation, and production systems. She holds a Master’s degree in Materials Engineering from NOVA School of Science and Technology and has experience managing European R&D projects focused on climate adaptation, digital transformation, and sustainable agriculture.
Master degree in Agriculture science, Bachelors degree in Agriculture business. Working as a project manager in EUFRAS and also as field crom advisor in Latvian Rural Advisory and Training Centre (LLKC). Interest on support sustainable and innovative farming practices in Latvia and across Europe, small-farm systems, organic farming and social farming.
