As soil health is coming back on farmers’ top concerns, the COP aims at achieving three objectives : :
1. Master a set of tools and methods allowing the CSA to :
a. Evaluate the current state of soil health (on field tools, eventually completed with analytics techniques)
b. Understand how former practices led to the current state described above
c. Prescribe improving practices to restore suitable soil health
2. Understand the links between climate change and soil health :
a. How climate change affects soil health ?
b. How a healthy soil may help cope with climate change effects – notably on crops ?
3. Acquire facilitation techniques that can be used with farmers to raise their awareness regarding soil health matters.
