The COP aims to strengthen collaboration between agricultural advisory services and the dairy sector within the supply region of frischli Milchwerke in Northern Germany, addressing a key regional challenge: while advisors often hold detailed economic data on farms, dairies have climate assessment information, yet collaboration between the two is limited. Dairies cannot provide long-term guidance, and identifying effective levers for climate action requires the economic insights advisors possess.
The initiative improves coordination and knowledge exchange among stakeholders, enhancing advisory competencies in climate adaptation and emissions reduction, tailored to the specific conditions of dairy farms in the region. Awareness and knowledge transfer are promoted through regional events, workshops, and on-farm demonstrations at best-practice farms within the frischli supply network. At the farm level, the COP facilitates implementation of climate measures by assessing economic implications, developing tailored solutions, and jointly addressing practical and structural barriers.
