Description

CoP will focus on practical climate-smart approaches that help vegetable farms in protected and open-field systems adapt to climate impacts, evolving regulations and market demands. Members will exchange experiences, review existing technologies and learn in the field, focusing on water management, soil health & biodiversity, integrated crop management.

Objectives

Facilitate peer learning on water, soil health & biodiversity, and integrated crop management in vegetable production.
Foster advisor–farmer collaboration to align climate-smart practices with market needs and resilience goals.
Identify and promote effective use of digital decision-support and tools for crop planning, irrigation scheduling, and monitoring.
Strengthen advisory capacities across the AKIS to accelerate climate smart practices uptake in vegetable production .
