“RO_2_Small ruminants” CoP focuses on feasible practices allowing the sheep & goats farms to adapt to the new reality (the growing effects of climate changes / the specific legislation / framework related to the mitigation of climate changes).

The main interests are herd management, forage production and the potential evolution of the rewarding mechanisms.

Objectives

To understand the importance and benefits of the climate-smart farming.

To get acquianted with the tools for estimation of the carbon footprint.

To identify the most feasible measures to mitigate the carbon footprint, with side-advantages on economic efficiency.

To prepare the background for adapting of the small ruminantsț sector to the climate-related changes.

To be up-to-date with the climate-smart practices that are suitable for small ruminants husbandry.
