Description

The Belgian CSA colleagues participating in this COP would like to improve their advisory skills to motivate Belgian dairy and livestock farmers to apply feasible and appropriate adaptation and mitigation measures from the CFD-AMP Library on the farm. Together they look for an approach that provides the advisor with guidance in 4 different steps.

Objectives

1. Improve the CSA’s storytelling about the climate in relation to farmers;
2. Improve the CSA’s skills to tackle farmers’ resistance about climate and climate change topics and climate smart farming practices;
3. Improve the CSA’s skills in composing AMPs and guidancs that motivate the farmer to talk about and implement fitting climate smart farming practices;
4. Test the approach outlined by the members of the Belgian COP “Smart CFAs”
