This Community of Practice aims to strengthen advisory capacity, enabling advisors to better support dairy farmers in developing and implementing future-proof farming practices.
The focus is on themes such as climate-resilient crops, reducing emissions, optimizing production, and improving mineral use efficiency. Together, these themes contribute to concrete steps towards more sustainable and future-proof agriculture.
The group consists of advisors from DLV Advies, active in different regions across the Netherlands, each bringing their own expertise and perspective. What unites them is a strong substantive focus on soil, crops, and manure.
Within the CoP, there is space for knowledge exchange, jointly testing approaches, and reflecting on challenges related to advising farmers on climate action.
In addition, targeted efforts are made to strengthen advisory and coaching skills. The aim is to ensure that climate advice is not only technically sound, but also practical and well aligned with the realities and perspectives of dairy farmers.
In this way, the CoP contributes to more effective and practice-oriented climate advisory services, supporting dairy farmers in their transition towards more sustainable and climate-smart farming systems.
