Optimization of Animal Production and Energy Management
Community of Practice dedicated to the Optimization of Animal Production, including Herd and Energy Management, operating within the framework of the ClimateSmartAdvisors project.
Our CoP serves as a collaborative, knowledge-sharing platform for agricultural advisors, farmers, and industry experts. We focus on the critical intersection of livestock husbandry, greenhouse gas emission reduction, and renewable energy integration, ensuring that environmental compliance goes hand-in-hand with farm profitability.
Operating on a structured, two-year learning agenda, our network engages in practical field visits, on-farm demonstrations, and analytical workshops. We prioritize peer-to-peer learning and rigorously assess the cost-benefit balance of all discussed solutions. By enhancing the advisory working methods and facilitating direct farmer-to-farmer cooperation, we empower the agricultural community to confidently transition towards climate-smart farming.
