The main objective of this Community of Practice is to strengthen the capacity of dairy advisors to deliver climate‑smart advice across both intensive and extensive dairy systems. By combining technical knowledge on emission reduction and targeting soft skills development (communication, coaching and handling resistance), the CoP aims to improve advisors’ ability to guide farmers effectively through sustainable transitions. Ultimately, the CoP seeks to increase the impact, credibility and practical relevance of climate‑smart advisory services in the dairy sector.
Enable dairy advisors to translate climate‑smart solutions into practical, farm‑specific advice that is applicable to both intensive and extensive dairy systems.
Strengthen the soft skills of dairy advisors needed to support farmers in sustainable transitions, including handling resistance, uncertainty, and differing farm visions or strategies.
Support advisors in combining technical expertise (emissions reduction, circularity, and system differences) with coaching and communication skills to increase the real‑world impact of climate‑smart advice in the dairy sector.
